Exclamation Pulling off i get a loud mechanical thud

PULLING OFF I GET A LOUD MECHANICAL THUD FROM THE REAR END.

i know our AWD is kinda odd system. there is no clutch in the transfer case, the propelar shaft is always spinning and the clutch is actually its in the rear differential that engages & disengages the rear wheels.
it seems like when my car has sat for 15mins or more and then pulls off, after 5-10mph i get this hard bang/thud from the rear end IF I LET GO OF THE GAS PEDAL. anyone else got this before?

UPDATE: called the service adviser and spoke with him. he recommended coming and leaving it over night so the car gets cold(weird but thats exactly when my problem happens) and stated this is a leak in the differential and the fluid came out.
Now iv tinkered with the rear diff and i didnt see a leak, but whatever he says: car is under warranty so i dont care. And personally he sounded very sure of himself like he has come across this problem before.
i do know that if a differential is dry, or a big leak is in place it tends to grind as you drive. we shall see!
