Hitch on / Lights wired up

I got the hitch put on today, and the lights wired. They used a module, but the wire and connector is not located on the outside. It's on the inside stored in one of the storage areas next to the tail light. Is this standard for the Rogue? Every one I have ever had has had the connector beside the hitch. Should I take it back to the place that installed it?

It is standard on almost all cars where a wiring is installed.
When you need it, you just put it out and close the cargo door on it.
If you don't like that, you could try to move it out by passing it through the vents located on the side of the car, but remember that the connector will then be in contact with all the road dirt and water and could be damaged when you will need it.
