ready to buy but questions about towing I love the Rogue over the CRV,Rav and Forester but am concerned about the CVT and towing, launching and retrieving my jet ski. The weight(about 1000lbs) is within the rating but I wonder if anyone could share their experience of how the CVT over the road towing goes. Thanks

I have had no problems with my rogue and the CVT.... I love the cvt with powerbands vs regular transmissions... I took mine to the dragstrip yesterday and it ran consistent 10.6 in the 1/8th mile and i was VERY impressed.... and i have had to park on some very steep hills with mine (similar to a boat launch ramp) and had not a problem one pulling up the slope... and even when its raining... i cant get it to spin whatsoever... even at the track, didnt spin once... and trust me, I have tried very hard to just get it to spin.....and not happening... just my input... I LOVE MY ROGUE!!!!!

Thats good because my dealers top mechanic told me to never tow anything with my new rogue. I have a truck so would not have to do so anyway, but the comment definitely sounded warning bells. Not sure what to think about this CVT !!
