| Air conditioning problem I bought a used 2008 ROGUE in Southside Nissan Vancouver on Nov. 23, 2010 which was a heavy snow day. Before I made my decision to buy it, I checked the dealer's VEHICLE SAFETY INSPECTION FORM which told me the air conditioner was OK. It made no sense for me to test the working condition of the air conditioner due to the extremely cold weather. The sales person didn't even do the car delivery procedure as required. On May 30,2011, when the weather got hot, I tried to use the air conditioner for the first time since I bought this car. But to my surprise, the air conditioner didn't work at all. So I set up an appointment with the dealer. On June 7,2011, as scheduled, I drove my Rogue in the morning to the dealer to seek a solution. I talked to Service Advisor and the Service Manager . They promised to check it for me. In the afternoon, I was told that my car was checked and the air conditioner was recharged. They told me there was NO LEAK! I tested on site and confirmed the air conditioner worked at that time. But since then, I have never tried to use the air conditioner until July 4,2011. On July 4,2011, I tried to start the air conditioner. What frustrated me is that the air conditioner failed to work again. On July 5,2011, I visited the dealer again and told the Service Manager. TONNY told me my car warranty was expired and I need to pay the cost to check and repair the air conditioner if I wanted to. I drove this car only 3,000kms in my 6 months ownership and I have never used the air conditioner since I had it. How can the newly recharged refrigerant run out within one month without leak? It is a common sense that something is wrong with the air conditioner and the problem has existed before it was sold to me. They didn’t repaire the air conditioner but only add a little refrigerant to keep the air conditioner work for a while. My complaint is that the dealer didn't check or repair the car seriously as required before its sale or on June 07,2011. The dealer gave me the wrong information in the VEHICLE SAFETY INSPECTION FORM and the INVOICE. Now this case is under the investigation by VSA. |

| I know what you mean about not chcking the AC when it's not hot out. I purchased mine last October, but didn't use it untill this summer. Long story short, it needed more refridgerant, but it still struggles on really hot days. Were you able to get the AC fixed? Did you take the vehicle to a different repair shop for a second opinion? BTW, while I'm familiar with The Great White North, what does VSA stand for?
