Exclamation Homelink

Does anyone on this forum know if one can install an original new mirror with homelink and compass advertised on eBay.
This suposed to be an new original Nissan part but I do not know if one needs special wiring and if this would be available.
Any information would be appriciated. TIA Jacob

Bump! I'm wanting to do the same thing. Hope it's just a plug and play type install.

Visited the dealer today and found the mirror advertised on eBay is in actuality a Mazda/Gentex part and would be very hard to make work in my Rogue if at all possible.
I was offered a original Nissan rearview mirror with camera fo $400 Canadian + $140 Canadian to install but was hesitant to go ahead also because in the instructions it mentioned that this camera will not detect all obstacals.
So in the end I reduced my dedutible to $200 and hope I will not hit anything backing up.
Just my opinion.

Currently struggling with a Gentex mirror. Installer cannot get the Homelink to initiate to accept new programming. This is the mirror with the compass. The previous mirror w/o the compass DID work. Now it't going back again. The dealer comes to my work, gets the car, and brings it back alleged fixed with a wash and a full tank of gas. But now we gotta do it again. At least they are trying hard to get it right. Which they should because I paid for it. Cash, too.

Yeah, well they "fixed" the mirror by cutting the wires near the windshield and re-attaching them, wrapping them with electrical tape. Well, not the preferred way to do it. They should have wired it properly at the connection sites. I am not happy. I covered the area with special tape and gave them an earful.

After I taped the area:

I am thru with this MF dealer.

Nah, decided I can't live with patched wires. Dealer will take it back to the aftermarket installer and have the correct wiring harness installed. BTW the dealer says they have had other issues with these people and they have just lost the contract with this dealer. Dealer has many dealerhships around the area sothis will hurt them. I will leap into my grave laughing knowing I was a part of this loss of business.
