Hey that's pretty cool considering that it's really not a Hybrid.

Quote:
MISSISSAUGA, ON, Dec. 7 /CNW/ - The all-new 2008 Nissan Rogue 2.5 front
wheel drive crossover, which went on sale in September, now qualifies for a
$1,000 rebate under the Government of Canada's ecoAUTO Rebate program for fuel
efficiency. The program's 2008 list of eligible green vehicles was announced
today and is part of the federal government's plan to protect the environment
by encouraging Canadians to by fuel-efficient cars in exchange for a rebate.
This is something that the Federal and Local Govt's in the States should think of doing especially when it comes to Diesel vehicles that now have to run the ultra low sulpher diesel which is running $.20 to $.30 a gallon more then premium and $.60 more then regular. The Govt want's us to do our part but the truth is you have to be really wealthy or really committed to be green.

Bravo to Canada for the incentive and to a lesser extent Nissan for producing such a enviormently friendly crossover!

Great thread, thanks!

Yeah you don't have to be a hybrid to qualify (in fact most aren't).

Here's the link to the list from the govt'.

Unfortunately the rebate doesn't apply to the Rogue SL AWD. It's only applicable to the FWD (we learned this yesterday at the dealership)

Yep thats right. Just the FWD qualifies because the combined hwy/city L/100km is lower than the AWD.
