Smile Newest Rogue Owner from Canada!

Hey everyone,

I decided that I wanted a vehicle to serve a few purposes:

-Something to drive every day that would be cost efficient
-Something with enough cargo space to lug around some tools, long lengths of moldings, typical contractor/tradesman stuff
-Something to pull a light trailer and my motorcycle with to get to the racetrack a few times in the summer
-And at the end of the day, something nice to take my wife out to dinner in.

After trying to decide whether to go for a Hyundai Tuscan, Ford Escape or the Rogue, I of course chose the Rogue.

I shopped around for weeks until I found me a 2008 Rogue SL, Gotham Grey colour, tech package included, with a hefty 130,000km's on it.

The one thing I didn't like was the amount of km's, but with Nissan's 200,000km transmission warranty, the decision was a little easier. Plus, I picked it up for $13,000! Not a bad price.

Picking it up after the weekend and I'm excited to start driving it.

What do you all think about my purchase decision?

Milage seems a little high. Have you taken it to a third party for an independent inspection?

Thanks. I have not taken it to a third party for inspection. We have some experience with buying cars so we did a thorough check on the body(for accidents) and anything we could see visibly wrong. The dealership certifies it for us as well. I guess the only thing a mechanic could find out is whether the engine compression is ok. Anything you would recommend checking?

The first owner had a trailer hitch removed, and the dealer disclosed that information to me. I assume that the hauling was a reason for the high km's.

I made the decision to spend less on the vehicle with a trade off of lots of millage.. I hope I don't run into any major problems.
