Another New Member - Need Bike Help!

Hey, folks! Been driving Nissans for 11 yrs now: first a Maxima and currently an Altima (for the past 4 yrs). Have enjoyed both vehicles immensely.

Considering a new vehicle, mainly for hauling bikes w/o having to take the front wheel off, which I consider a PITA! Want to confirm whether or not that is possible with a 2011/2012 Rogue. Someone on another forum said it can be done but I have my doubts for an adult-size hybrid bike. I know a bike will fit in a Mitsu Outlander or Subaru Forester/Outlander.

Can anyone help me out? May have to make a trip to the dealer to measure the cargo area with the back seats down.

Thanks!

Are you talking about bicycles? If yes you can get a roof rack or get a hitch and attach a bike rack on to the hitch. Check out RACKANDGO.COM ....oh and welcome.

I'd go measure mine but it's nearly 1am.

Interior passenger volume (cu. ft.) 97.5

Cargo capacity (cu. ft.)

with second-row seat up 28.9

with second-row seat down 57.9

Appreciate the welcome and tips. I definitely would like to fit the bike inside the vehicle for security reasons, peace of mind, etc.

Went to the Nissan dealer yesterday and it looks like the bike will fit inside with the backs seats folded down flat.

I put my bike inside the Rogue. I fold down the seats and take off the front wheel (quick release).

Just curious, why do that if the bike fits intact? Heck, I can take the front wheel off and fit the bike in my Altima.....
