Brand new member to the Rogue Forum

Hi, all: I just signed up to the Rogue Forum. My wife and I just purchased a 2011 Rogue SV with SL package. We went into the dealership to buy a Murano but decided the Rogue was a much better value overall. After only three days of ownership, we really love this SUV. We are very happy with our purchase. Now that we own one, I will be sure to come back to this forum frequently. I'm sure this is a great place for any questions or concerns I have about the Rogue. Thanks for reading this post!!

I was considering a Murano too. My daughter has a 4 wheel drive Murano but she drives in bad weather and on some iffy roads.

I opted for the Rogue at ~$10,000 less and better gas mileage.

That was exactly my thought. It was close to $10,000 more for the same equipped Murano and the gas mileage is much better on the Rogue. Overall, I think we made a good choice. I noticed one small thing when I was driving it today. The outside temperatue kept flashing and wouldn't stop. I'm not sure why that is. I'll have it checked out soon. Good luck!!

The temperature flashes when the outside temp is below 40. I guess it is to warn you of possible freezing. I found it very annoying here in New York where it seldom gets above 40 in the winter. The flashing can be turned off by going through the edit menu.

Thanks for your help. Yeah, I'm here in New Jersey and our weather is about the same as yours. It's only been a week, but so far I really like the Rogue. I didn't feel it was worth spending the extra $9,000 for a Murano. This is much better on gas. Thanks again. Take care

Gary
