I am new to this site

I am thinking of getting a rogue I really like the looks of it but I am worried about the consumption of gas because I have a long commute.

Don't worry about the fuel consumption, the Rogue is one of the most fuel efficient SUV on the market, mainly thanks to the CVT in my opinion and the way it is managed.

If you come from an automatic car, you will see that you have a better response from the car and better fuel consumption in the same time.

I come from manual shift cars, so I had to adapt a little bit not to use my right hand anymore and let the car do what it wants, and the results are quite impressive: almost the same fuel consumption than the manual RAV4 I had few years ago.

I am usually getting about 28mpg but going a little bit slower (about 62 mph on highway instead of 68), I am aiming on 33.5mpg on this tank of fuel. It seems the sweet spot for the Rogue is at about 2000rpms.

If you are gentle with the car, it will reward you. If you are more aggressive, you will get what an automatic car does when pushed, not a good mileage.

Gas mileage is pretty good. Of course, the front wheel drive will do better than the 4 wheel drive. Depends on where you live. I'm in Iowa and 4wd is a must. It's my wife's car and she absolutely loves it.

Just traded in my Altima and purchased a Rogue. Gas consumption is basically the same. A little higher but my sales guy said it will go back down after 6K.
