Question Cleaning Tips

Ok, Rogue 1 has a black interior. I've got some white scuff marks here and there, but I'm having trouble getting rid of them. Suggestions?

scuff's, as in actual damage, or scuffs as in paint transfer?
is it on the plastic, or leather, or cloth?

tough to tell from the small photo's, but it looks like sneaker rubber marks.
i would try WD-40 and a soft sponge and work that in. WD-40 is soft on plastics and leather and wont dull the finish, but it will soften many marks and scuffs.

it might take a few mins for the wd-40 to actually get to the rubber mark and soften it up. if that doesnt work, try goof-off, or goo gone

Yep, shoe marks. Never thought about WD-40, will give it a try. Failing that, Goo Gone perhaps, but definately not Goof-Off as it contains acetone.

The hard plastic scuffs and scores very easily...those marks may actually be minor indentations through the outer finish in the plastic...if so you may be able to minimize the look with some WD40 but the marks may be there until you replace the panels.

Whats really needed here is for the people making these makrs to open the door all the way before they exit and keep their shoes off the dashboard.

Thanks for the advice. The drivers door caught in a high wind a few times as I was getting out, hence the marks on the door. The scuffs on the dash are from items on the passenger seat that flew off when I had to make a sudden stop in traffic.

Gotcha. With the way my wife uses the car, that looks like a year or so of ownership wear and tear. Still can't get her or my kid to hold the seatbelt as it retracts...every time we get out of the car the metal clip smacks the b and c pillars in the car.

Her 2000 Celica was like that too, the driver's side door panel looked like it got peppered with buckshot at 50 yards from the tip of the seatbelt nicking up the hard plastic over and over again.

Basically its something I've had to come to grips with that I have to live with this and there isn't much I can do about it.

After living with leather interiors for years now I've gotten into the habit of never putting unbeltable items on any seating surface. I always put stuff on the floor...one time too many of my spaghetti and red meat sauce lunch going off the seat and hitting the floor upside-down.

if its actual scratches like mayhem says, paste shoe polish works well to blacken out the scuffed scratches.
