| 08 Rogue Power Window "Auto Up" will not work Nissan has released a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB)for a problem with the power windows "Auto Up" feature. Here's how to tell if your's is working correctly and there's also a copy of the TSB. Perform the following initialization procedure: 1. Turn the Ignition switch ON. 2. Open the window-all the way DOWN. 3. Pull all the way UP on the switch and hold (close the window). Continue holding the switch all the way UP for 4 seconds after the window is closed. 4. Confirm the window is now operating correctly.

| AUTO-UP problem figured out... I have figured out the problem....its my switch, but not a broken switch, its actually the wrong switch. The dealership just happened to mention that some years of Nissans only have the "Auto-down" function, no Auto-up function. I believe my switch to be an "Auto-Down" only switch, meaning that its a 3-position switch instead of a 4-position switch. According to the Owners Manual, with the window up, you can either push down to the first position to lower the window to a height that you select, depending on when you realease the button, or, push further down to the 2nd position to activate the full Auto-Down function of the switch. The manual then states, with the window down, you can either lift-up, (slightly), on the switch to the first position to raise the window to a height you select, depending again on when you release the button, or, lift-up all the way on the switch to the second position to activate the full Auto-up function of the switch. My switch has the 2 positions, (that you can actually feel), when you push down on the button to lower the window, BUT, only has one position when you lift up on the button to raise the window.... CONCLUSION: Nissan installed the wrong switch in the Rogue, or, at least, MY Rogue! |

| NO PWR AUTO-UP is NOT a problem!!! OK guys...I'm gonna put this puppy to bed.... Just finished talking with the Nissan dealerships here in Denver....After I reported this "problem?" to them, they went and tested all the new Rogues on their lots equipped from the low-end to the high-end. NONE of the Rogues had this Auto-Up function. The manual says..."...if so equipped...". So, unless you happen to have a rare bird, none of the Rogues are "so equipped". I believe, that Nissan, after the manual was published, decided against equipping the Rogues with this option??? I am hereforth ignoring that service bulletin! So, we have auto-down, but not auto-up...I can live with that..... |

| as per the Nissan website, it appears that the only way you can get auto up, is if you get the Leather package. Quote:

| Auto-up ..then, that's got to be it....I have everyting but the moonroof and leather....evidently the Rogues that the dealership tested did not have the leather package either. Seems kinda ridiculous that the auto-up is an option?? ...the only difference is the 3-way to a 4-way switch....can't be that much, if any, difference in build cost?? ...oh well...quirky.. |

| Auto-up switch Yeah, we probably could....but, truth be known, I could care less....and, I would not want to start dismantling, (door panel), such a new car for such a small gain in convenience. Knowing my luck, I'd do it, and then end up causing a rattle or short or something? Naah, I'm perfectly happy with just an Auto-down function.....I just think its pretty cheap of Nissan cut corners this way.... |
