| Anyone Having Trouble with the Rear Hatch ?
My rear hatch has been giving me trouble. Has anyone else had any trouble ? Seems classic signs of hatch shocks that are worn out. If you open the hatch and give it a lift up and let go it should continue up on it's own until the shocks are fully extended. The hatch on mine will lift half way and stop you have to push it up by hand until open. Also closing it has become a problem when you give it a normal slam shut and get in the car the door ajar light is on sometimes. I need to really muscle into it to make it close with no light. My Rogue is 6mths old and don't think it should have bad hatch shocks already ! I'll have the dealer look at it next time (when in for the Air Bag Sensor recall). I would think this should be a warranty item. If the hatch shock is all I find after 7,500 miles I'm doing OK. Just wondering if maybe there's a bad batch of Hatch Shocks out there ? |
