| Looks pretty good. For the mounting, is that something you fashioned, or did it come with the GPS? How is it mounted there? I have my Sat radio vent mounted right now and like the location, don't like the wires, so I'm going to try and change things around when the warmer weather comes along. |

| Garmin GPS mounting... What is a Sat vent?? Whatever it is, I guess I don't need it as my factory radio has satellite built in.... To mount my Garmin: ..its factory mount is a two piece mount...I just used the half that snaps on to the unit. On that piece, I used professional stength velcro so that I can still keep it as a portable. The unit is so light that the heavy duty velcro holds it quite firm, it doesn't shake or vibrate around at all.... it won't come loose unless I take it loose. Since the Garmin is a portable, no wires to worry about....I just plug it in to my utility socket and re-charge the internal battery when it needs it. You can't see the velcro at all, so, my installation looks quite clean...it's the best it could be, without it being an integrated unit. Gib |
