Just purchased a 2012 Rogue SV with the crappy rear view mirror. I see that Nissan sells the auto-dimming mirror for $238. Anyone have one installed on the SV? Are the wires already there? I see a black strip on the windshield going to the current mirror. Any idea of install cost?

My SV w/SL has it. Member Rotentman has a detailed post on installing an aftermarket mirror.

Yeah, it was a real trip, but worth it. The only issue was an incompetent installer. I like the product now.

Not in NJ. Maryland just outside Baltimore.

I just finished installing the # 999L1-UT001 autodimming, homelink, and compass mirror in my 2011 SLSV Rogue. The rogue came with all options inc. nav. It only comes with just the auto dimming mirror. There were 2 wires going to the mirror, ignition hot and ground. I cut the harness about 4 inches from the headliner and I cut the new harness about 8 inches long. I spliced the harnesses (observe polarity) and pushed the excess under the headliner. I got the mirror from my dealer. List price was $228 but I got a deal for $145. Works great, now my Rogue is complete. Love the navigation and rear view camera.

If you want to save a few bucks, check with Andrew's Auto/Truck Parts Salvage to see if they can get you one. They're a straight shot down Crain Highway in White Plains. DIY install seems pretty straight forward.
