Trailer Hitch!

I have a Nissan Rogue SV 2011, & bought a class 3 hitch with 2" Receiver Tube from
Amazon.com. Paid a little over $100 & installed it myself, 6 bolts, 3 on each side, frame
has threaded. drilled slots. Right rear side has a tow point that needs to be removed,
in order to get to the 3 holes on that side. I also bought the Curt harness for around
$50, & installed that myself. Instructions are on YouTube in video form for both. From
past experience with my '07 Murano which I had installed by U-Haul, it took them
under an hour to do, I figured I would try this one myself. I did not run the trailer harness
out to the bumper, only kept it in the rear wheel well hatch, so as not to get it corroded
from the winter salt. I tow a 14' aluminum runabout with a load of vacation items about
165 miles up to NH, 3or 4 times a summer, with no problems. The Rogue rides well
with this load. Good luck!

Reply: Total weight!

My guess would be boat 200lbs, 20 hp motor= 200lbs, trailer=300lbs, & vacation gear, coolers, food, fishing gear, 5 gals gas, battery would total around 1,000lbs. I drive into NH, about 165 miles, & try to stay away from 65 mph highways.

read somewhere that the SL model with paddle shifters included a tranny cooler other models didnt- and that gives us SL owners a 1500lb towing capacity.
THAT MAKES ME HAPPY!
