| Rogue 2011 Remotestart/Security question Can someone please give me some advise as to what i really need to install a viper 5901 remotestart/security system on a 2011 rogue with the regular key start(no inteli key)i did a lot of reading on this topic and some people seems to say you don`t need to put the actual spare keys in the vehicle in that black box,it seems as though you can use some other device, secondly, i would appreciate it, if someone with the install knowledge can give me a walk through on how to go about this install and keeping in mind that i will be doing this install for the first time,i did other install, like video interface in Murano and sound, with bluetooth,so i have some intermediate experience. Thanks in Advance. And thanks to the Mod for such a Informative forum. |

| Ive never tried it on a Rouge but Ive installed to systems, not a viper brand but similar. They can be pretty complex. For best results make sure you order the T harness that goes with the kit or find one that offers it. If not you have to spice into about 15 wires or so. The other thing you might end up having to have is security alarm bypasses for the stock security alarm on the car.

| Most if not all new remote start system do not require a spare key for vehicles with immobilizer anymore. Basically the primary key gets used during install and the unit remembers it. I had this on my 05 Pathfinder |
