No, they work fine...poorly worded on my part. I just wasn't excited by it and have been opting instead to try and develop more of a loving relationship with my CVT in its naitive mode...this from a guy who loves driving manual transmissions.

The 6 ratios are ok, 6th actually revs the motor significantly higher than the CVT at highway speeds.

i would like to see the cvt ratio's allow the engine to rev in lower rpm's when on highways. i hate to know its well above 2k-RPM when doing 70mph

I turn about 2k rpm right at 70 mph.

The manual ratios (called "Autostick" in the Caliber) added only $75 to the sticker price. I am disappointed that the 2011 Rogue did not have that feature even as an option. Seems the SL pkg should have inlcuded it. They still offer the feature on other cars in the line.
