Reporting in on todays trip.

Same tank of gas as yesterday. Didn't add any. Reset mpg and mph back to zero.

Drove 98 miles from Santa Barbara to Ventura, did some in-town driving and back home.
Didn't use the air conditioner. Used cruise control on Route 101 at speed limit 65 mph.

I got 30.1 mpg with an average mph of 53.

The car now has ~600 miles on it since purchase new.

Very pleased with the numbers.

Addendum: The only difference between yesterday's and today's trip was that today I went alone. Yesterday I had a 250 lb buddy with me. Could he be worth nearly 5 miles per gallon?

My 2010 Gets Over 24 Daily

I've had my Rogue since last May. I only drive in rush hour traffic. I do stop and crawl for part and 50 for other parts. I don't do any highway driving. The lowest I've gotten in the past six months is 24.4. Most of the time I'm getting just over 25 mpg and occassionally 25.6. It's much better than the PT Cruiser I used to own.

Our 2010s mileage went up after about 4000 miles. As high as 29, usually about 26 since I drive 80+. Hope it gets a bit better, I'm getting 25 with our 05 Odyssey and it's a rolling livingroom..... My Titan on the other had has dropped to "really sucks ass", freakin ethanol.

Very Dissappointed

My Rogue is now three weeks old,,and the fuel consumption is not what they say it should be. For 125 km's it cost $17.00, and fuel now $1.22 a litre. My Exterra is sitting in the drive,,,i should still be driving her,,as she's not a whole lot more to run,,,again,,very, very disappointed in the fuel the rogue is using,,
p.s. it's highway driving,,,,,

Any comments???

I have no idea how that all translates into MPG, but if you're car is only three weeks old its not even close to broken in. You're going to need to at least get through the 1200 mile break in period before you can get any idea of what your mileage will be. Sometimes its even longer than that before the engine settles in.

Like the Mileage I'm Getting

I only use my car to go to and from work, 17 miles each way. I commute during rush hour so I do a lot of stop and go with sections where we go 40 or 50 for a couple of miles. I just filled up my tank this morning and I got 26.1 mpg which is fairly normal for me. I have 2010 SL so I'm not sure why you aren't getting better mileage.

I have about 700 miles on it so far. I will be traveling tomorrow on a two-hour drive up to NY. We'll see if the mileage is any better. We all know they advertise this SUV to get up to 28 miles a gallon on the highway. I doubt I will ever attain that.

Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, guys!! BTW, this is a great forum to learn anything you want to know about the Rogue.
I have a 2011 SV with 1500 miles on in. Took it on a 500 mile road trip and averaged 26.6. In town however, I have been getting 29.7 regularly.

On a recent highway trip in my 2008 Rogue, counting only fill ups with average speed between 54 and 63 MPH, I got 28.4 MPG with fuel having 10% ethanol. However with pure (no ethanol) gasoline, I got 30.2 MPG -- a 6.25% improvement. (MPG based on miles/gallons.) If you want better mileage, contact your legislators and demand an end to the ethanol scam.

Not trying to change the thread, but yes ethanol is such a waste of money. Everyone knows driving slower on the highway saves fuel. That is one of the reasons why they lowered the speed limits years ago. It eventually kept creeping back up. The Rogue is not a very fast car so just take it easy and your mileage will be stable.
