The Nissan/Renault C platform is designed for front and all wheel drive vehicles.
Renault and Nissan aim to share platforms with a target of 10 shared platforms in 2010. The Rogue will be the first vehicle sold in North America to use the the C platform. Currently the other vehicles that use the C platform which was first introduced in 2002 are the Renault Mégane II sold in Europe, Nissan Lafesta, first introduced in 2004 and the Nissan Serena first sold in 2005 and both in Japan.
