brake rotors I have a 2009 Rogue and need to have the brake rotors replaced after 32,000 miles. Has anyone else had to do this? The dealership was going to just resurface them but I said if this happens again in a few months then the vehicle will no longer be under warranty, I would rather have new ones now. I think it is really odd that this should happen so soon. I had my Xterra for 120,000 miles and never had to replace/resurface the rotors and only replaced brakes once, after 116,000 miles. Out of all the cars and trucks I have owned over the years, I've only had a problem with rotors once, on a 1979 Chevy Blazer!

2008 Rogue SL AWD (Wifes car). Bought brand new. Front rotors were starting to warp at 7,000 miles. Dealer resurfaced at 9765 miles as a "one time" courtesy" admitting they were warped and had significant hot spots on the rotors. Rotors warped again at 17,000 miles. Dealer wanted $700 to replace (yeah right!). I replaced (at my expense) with EBC OE replacement rotors and Greenstuff OE replacement organic pads at just under 20,000 miles for a significant savings over the dealer quote and arguably better aftermarket products. We are at just over 25,000 miles now and the the EBC's are warping. I have had enough and called the Service Manager of my local dealer! Dealer has the car, will replace rotors and pads under warranty but say that there is nothing wrong with the brake system on this car? There is certainly a problem, I am 100% sure about that and have the data to back it up. I was born at night, but not last night. I have had dozens of cars in my life and NEVER warped rotors (my wife included) EVER. Looks like I might have one of those "Friday" build cars or the dealer just does not know what they are doing. I told the dealer today I will see them in 5-7,000 miles with warped rotors and they WILL replace them for free! Anyway........32,000 miles and you need new rotors, that sounds ok to me in all honesty.

Rear brake pads worn our before front pads!! I just took my Rogue 08 to dealership for OIL change and received a call that Rear brake pads need to be replaced. I really surprised how rear pads worn out faster than front but when I checked previous inspection reports realized: it has been like this for a while. 35000 miles: Front Brake Lining 50% Front Brake Lining 40% 46500 miles: Front Brake Lining 40% Front Brake Lining 10% I talked to dealership and they said it is normal on Nissan that rear brake pads worn out earlier that Front!! Is that True? I have been searching online and did not even find one line about this! can someone help me understand why my rear brake linings are wearing out faster that Front? is this normal for Rogue?
