Nissan Rogue Forum

Hi everyone... the lease on my XTrail is almost up. I'm considering a Nissan Rogue or a Subaru Forester. I'll be test driving a Rogue next week and already tried out the Forester (which I liked).

Some questions:
1) Anyone else consider these two vehicles? What made you pick the Rogue?
2) How many kilometers (or miles) are you averaging per tank?
3) For Canadian owners, how much of a discount did you get? We're looking at the SL AWD with Premium+Leather package. (Feel free to message me privately about this)
4) Is the Bose sound system that good?

I just preferred the looks and handling of the Rogue. I can't tell if Subaru has finally put a frame on the windows of the new Forester. That was a big thing to me. I want a frame. The Bose in the Rogue sucks.

1) The new Forester was not out when I needed a new car, but it was planned to get worse gas mileage than the Rogue.
2) Fuel economy was what convinced me to get a Rogue. I average between 750 and 850 km per tank (my best is about 940 km on a single tank this summer). The best thing with the Rogue is that last winter, I never went above 9.5 l/100kms when I usually go above 10 (between 10 and 12) with my previous cars (Subaru Legacy and RAV4, both manual shift). I was happily surprised by that. I have a FWD.
3) I did not get a discount as it was one of the first on the road and I needed it fast.
4) Bose system quality seems to be just a name. It is basically as good (or as bad) as any other sound system. Don't get biased by the name.

I love the Rogue! If safety is any consideration, check out this thread from earlier this year. I totalled my first Rogue and another forum member had a serious side impact accident.
