Heater Issue

Hi All!
I seem to be having a problem with my heater/fan. It was making a terrible vibration and noise, then it stopped. Now it's doing it again and I can't figure out why. Has anyone has an issue like this? Maybe ice built up on the fan somehow or something like that? I'm wondering if it's something I can get to/fix without paying to have it serviced.

Cheers and happy new year!

I had a similar issue the other day but it had disappeared as well, it made more of a rattling noise. Im guessing it could be ice...but it is fine now for several days.

But you should not be paying for a factory Flaw..
it's under guarantee

Sounds like a bearing issue to me. The dealer will take care of it under warrantee.

Thanks! I guess I'll check with the dealer and see that they can do. If for some reason it's not covered under the warranty, I'll tell them to leave it as a "vibrating massage" feature. :-)

That is definately a warranty issue, the bearings are shot in your heater fan assembly and the dealer will replace this no problem, just let them know that the noise is very loud and sounds like grinding metal. All will be taken care of under warranty!

Turns out it WAS a mouse nest. Cost me 90 bucks for labor after they gave me a deal on it for getting my business. (not where I bought the car from, that's a long and horrible story I'll tell some day)
Any one think I can prevent this if turn off the outside air flow everytime I turn off the engine?
