Hello : I have not noticed road noise from the specific area you mention. However, I have been overall disappointed with the road and wind noise. The Rogue is not a quiet vehicle most of the noise seems to be coming from the back for me. I was considering getting it undercoated to see if this might cut the noise a little. I think this is an area that could use improvement if you’re listening Nissan Engineers ! I might add overall I still think it’s a great vehicle and exceeds my expectations in almost all areas. But I do have some complaints like this noise issue and some others (all minor details).

Just wanted to alert Rogue owners they are on their own with Nissan corp. We just received a call from our regional specialist who said the "deafening" noise we experience as we drive over 70 mph in our Rogue is "customary and totally acceptable" and they will not stand behind finding the problem. Our dealer in Clinton, OK told us not to come back for any service. Needless to say, we would never buy another Nissan car again. I suggest anyone with the wind noise problem call the headquarters in North America at 800- 647-7261 and get a case number for the problem. We are investigating inacting the lemon law. JReid

It looks like the last post in this thread is over a year old, but I'm holding out hope that somebody has found an answer... no luck with my dealer, either. We rarely drive the car - purchased new in Sept. '08 and just turned over 10K mi. (We have a high mileage Lexus and a truck. The Rogue hasn't caught on with us and has more or less become a garage ornament.) This week, I took the Rogue to the airport, planning for some discussion time with my passenger as we went on to a meeting. I hadn't driven the car for so long that I nearly forgot the things I don't like about it. We had a quartering crosswind and for two hours it sounded like I had a kid sitting on the left side of my dash blowing across the top of a Coke bottle. We could talk, sort of, but by the time we arrived I wasn't just annoyed, I had a headache. Is there any way to reconcile this issue that doesn't amount to standing in line at the dealer just to piss into a fan? Any help sincerely appreciated!

Hi Everyone, I am a moderator on the NICO Nissan Rogue forum, I have experienced this extreme wind noise issue for two years (I have an 08 FWD SL Rogue), and I have a solution - the application of strategically placed weather stripping or in my case foam tape will solve this problem. The source is the door seams in a very specific location, even though it does sound like it is coming from the roof rack area. Send me an email and I will email you specific photos of how to fix this yourself, it should take you about 10 to 20 minutes of labour and maybe $5 in supplies and you'll be rid of this problem forever. My email address is killerclay2@yahoo. ca.
