Emergency Brake in the Way?

Is it just me, or does anyone else keep hitting the emergency brake with their left leg or foot?

This is my first Nissan, and it's Very Annoying!

Hi Scott.

Hasn't really been a problem for me, though my F150 and my wife's Prius all had it in the same spot.

Plus, I'm only 5'6". lol

I have never had a problem with it getting in the way.

I do prefer the handle that some cars use - as my last several cars had this. I am trying to get used to the pedal emergency brake again

Its a bit further to the right than I like and I don't really care for the location mainly because I'm having trouble finding it in the dark and you have to step on the darn thing to turn it off (a conventional release would be preferable for me, but you gotta put gadgets in your cars or peple might not buy them, right?).

I have never accidentally even brushed up against it though.

YES! I've bumped the stupid thing countless times. Position seems too high for my liking. I gotta say I prefer the hand lever that my other cars had. On a side note, anyone remember driving a vehicle with the high beam button on the floor?

Absolutely. My old Triumph restoration project has one. The foot switch made alot of sense I think, but they got rid of it for I don't know why...then they took the highbeam switch on the blinker stalk and changed it from pull-pull to push-pull to alternate the lights. Somebody make up your mind!
