For sure. As soon as we test drove the Rogue, we can feel right away that this was not a CUV like the others: It is an urban SUV, made more for the road than for off road.
Great handling, precise and sharp, really nice.

For us, it was sold after the first turn.

I hope your Rogue and stuff are safely on the dry side.

I did not buy a Rogue because of the really poor interior color selections- gray and black! Yes I saw the red seat inserts but it's still like siting at the bottom of a well. I have written to Nissan about this but got nowhere! So when they wise up and put in some browns and tans with the black I will reconsider. Eddie G.

We have some noise from the steering system. Not exactly sure what it is but it's going in soon to be looked at. Could just be low power steering fluid but that begs the question "why is the power steering fluid already low?". Not sure of the miles on the Rogue off the top of my head as it's my SO's car. The AC seems kinda weak -- i.e. the temps at the vents don't seem quite right to me but, again, it's hard to say if that's a problem or if that's just the Rogue's AC system. Overall though we're very happy with the Rogue so far. It handles very well for a CUV, has a good ride, the CVT is smooth and the paddle shifters are fun on the on ramps. Granted, they're not even in the same league as the transmission on my S2000 but that's an entirely different beast.

A truck chassis? Where did you read that? Which truck chassis would that be? From what I've read, the CR-V is Civic-based.

I also looked at the CRV and Rav 4 before deciding on purchasing a Rogue. The Rogue was the most comfortable and handled the best of the 3.
As a side note, a co-worker has an 08 CRV and has already had his complete steering rack replaced and his rear diff and springs replaced. Apparently these are inherant problems with the CRV.

Between my husband and I we have owned the following Nissans
1996 200sx SER
1999 Frontier SE
2000 Maxima SE
2002 Altima V6
2003 350Z track

We had some issue with all but the 200SX. The Frontier had a shake in the front end that the dealership could never get rid of. The Maxima's MAF sensor went and it was on back order for so long we traded it in. 350Z had major issues with front end alignment and the tires cupping. The dealership was replacing the tires every 6000 miles. The Altima's heat switch broke in the middle of the winter and the part was back ordered. All were known issues except for the Frontier. I love the Rogue but I can't get over the fact that Nissans always seems to have these known issues. I hate problems so I always end up trading in for something new.

I still haven't bought anything. I am going to wait as long as possible. I have always driven a manual transmission and I am going to have to give that up because so few cars have them now. I have also read about the rear diff issue with the new CRV. It's too bad because we have a 2006 CRV and it has been flawless.
