Adding a roof rack to an S?

I recently purchased an S and was told by the dealer that I can add a spoiler(which I am) but not a roof rack. I love the look of the roof rack! Has anyone added a roof rack (aftermarket or OEM) to an S? thanks

Yes

I just bought my 2008 Rogue S FWD and the dealer offered to add the roof rack with crossbars and moonroof (they are really trying to get rid of the 2008 models)! So I would think they should be able to order these items for you as well.

Unhappy

I bought my -10 S 360 a week ago, and went to the dealer this morning to see about adding the rack rails. The parts guy quoted me just north of $1000 for the parts alone (not including the crossbars!). One of the mechanics mentioned they had to pull the headliner to bolt it all on from inside, so the installation has to be pretty steep, too. Looks like I'll just get a set of Q-clips for my Yakima rack.

Nissan Rogue Roof Rack for Bare Roof – Permanent Track Installation & 430 Tracker II Foot Pack System « Rack Attack Boston’s Blog

Install a Thule 54 inch track on a Nissan Rogue with a bear roof, that would otherwise not have a traditional clip system designed for it. These tracks allow for the mounting of a a 430 Tracker II foot pack, a TK1 adapter kit which is used to secure the feet to the track, and a set of 58 inch Thule load bars. This system will allow the mounting of most every Thule or Yakima accessory right out of the gate. Such as Roof Top Bike carriers, Ski carriers, Water-sport carriers, as well as cargo bags, baskets and Cargo Boxes, and in addition it is removable in seconds.

English? Clearly not their native tonuge! I seem to recall other user sites I've been on required new memebers had to get X number of posts approved before they went on. On a larger fourm with several mods this would work, but here it probably wouldn't.

I think Squid's doing a great job with this site! If we just ignore the little SOB's they just go away.

The factory roof rack is pretty useless anyway. Except like I said before, It aids in locating the Rogue in parking lots.
