When I opened the door... Ouff, they did something to it.

They solve the problem by putting plastic stripes on the threshold of the car, front and back doors.

I forgot to take pictures during the weekend, but I will try to do it tonight and show you the changes.

I hope that now, they will call you back or at least do the improvement at the next oil change.

Pictures, we want some pictures.....please post
some as soon as you can.....thanks.

Here they are. Sorry for the mess but I think you'd rather want the pictures quickly than pictures from a clean car.

Is it what you have done to your car?

Sorry guy....you've missed what we have been
talking about....the scratches occur on the
VERTICAL portion of the bottom door frames. The
black plastic kick plates shown in your pictures
are on the horizontal part of the bottom door
frames, well above where the scratches actually
occur......so, you need the same fix that we do.
Watch the area below the plastic strips and you
will see the scratches appear over a short amount
of time...and it gets much worse on the front door
frames than the rear. Sorry, you are in the same
boat we are.

In fact, I can actually see from your pictures the
scratches starting on your door frames...look
close on the vertical part

Yes Gib, I can see it. It is right in the middle of the door.
I will phone Nissan Canada soon and tell my dealer at my first revision.

Damn it!

Sorry for the false hope I gave you. We still have to work on Nissan to make them change that.

Well poop!!!!!!!!!! I was hoping, since it would make sense that the fix would first be seen on the production line before a TSB is sent out.

Well....nobody is gonna like this post....I just
came from the other site. It looks like we just
might NOT see a fix from Nissan in the near
future, or, maybe never??? Everybody had
better go ahead and do their own fix, either
the added weatherseal or the clear-bra strips
and do it now while you still have some paint
left and before the rust sets in.
I have copied the following post from the other
Rogue site....

This member posted the following:

"Since Rogue has a twin brother in Europe, I 've decided to check Qashqai (spelling?) forums there as well.Qasqhai has a slighly different body design with wide plastic side moldings but the doors still extended all the way down. Guess what?! A lot of people complain about dirt packing under the doors!! Sad news is that there is still no fix from Nissan and the car has been in Europe for at least year longer..."

Doesn't look good for us, huh Squid?

Well all I can go on is past experience with a first year model from Nissan and they stepped up and took care of every problem so I still think that if enough people report the problem then they'll fix it. But if only 1% of the owners report the problem then maybe not. Best advice is report it to your dealership, call Nissan and then do the "Gibb fix".

...well, we'll see....I've turned it in to 2 Nissan
dealerships here, the 2nd one just a couple of
days ago.....they, too, were still unaware of the
problem. My question is why hasn't Nissan done
something to fix the Euro version by now??
It doesn't give me the warm fuzzy....

You have to remember that they are being built in two different places. The Qashqai in Sunderland U.K. and the Rogue in Kyushu, Japan. After working for two of the largest Corporations in the World, the U.S. Navy and Boeing. I know that each branch and location in large Corporations are hardly ever in sync with each other and since the Rogue is being built in Japan feedback will take even longer then it would if the Rogue was being built here in the States. I have a question when was the first time this problem was identified? Couldn't have been very long ago considering they didn't start showing up at the lots until September. I'm still banking on Nissan if the problem is as bad and far reaching as it seems.
