A mod mystery just for Squid....

...since you have such a good time make'n fun of
me Squid.....its time for me to have a little bit of
fun back at ya...

I am in the process of doing another mod to mine,
(surprise..surprise!), lets see how good you are at
guessing what it is. The only hints you are getting
is that it is in this category, (Exterior), and, its for
the "forward" half of the car, and, I will be
painting/clear-coating it to match the car. I will
again post pictures of the finished product once
installed.....(it will be a MAJOR personality change
for the car).....nuf' said....
This part, and the paint are on its way
now.

...heh...heh...

After heavy consideration of all the different things it could be. I've ruled out a hood scoop and settled on a front Valance.....................or painted bug guard. So how did I do?

..how did you do??..I can sum it up with...

actually, your guesses were both kinda hot and kinda cold...whatever that means....guess you will have to wait
for the finished pictures......

UPDATE: I just went out and read the private message that you left me....I noticed that you used the same ending
as I did above...we must think alike...scary isn't it?

Question mystery mod...

...if I keep this up, my possible mystery mod will
end up being anti-climatic! ..it ain't that big a
deal...

the possibility does still exist that I just may not
permanently install it, IF, after I get it painted, it
doesn't look as good as I thought it would???

I've got it painted now, I still have to clear-coat
it...then, I'll do the trial fitting to see if I trash it
or not...it could end up being a $100 mistake...it
wouldn't be the first time...

...we'll soon find out...now that the paint has had the
72-80 hours cure time, I plan on clear-coating it some
time tomorrow....depending on how warm it gets...need
it at least about 60+ degrees in my garage...

I know!, I know!, what you tried: Front bumper mounted antelope whistles that keep them away. Apparently they didn't work for you. Much damage?

wow!

...how did you know....was it written on my
face??....I knew I would do something to give it
away!!..what was it??

..good job!

no...actually, Squid nailed it but didn't know it. I
was trying a small hood scoop...I thought it would
give it a little more aggressive look...so, I painted
and clear-coated it and did a trial fitting. It
really looked pretty good...til you got up close. My
paint job was the best part of it, the factory
workmanship of the scoop itself lacked the quality
that I require...it made it look like an add-on
instead of a "factory-look" piece. So, I trashed it.

Dang! Ya still should have shot a pic before you scrapped it. I nixed the thought of a hood scoop because I couldn't picture one....................still can't.
