Exclamation Maintenance interval

Guys quick question,

Are the maintenance intervals done every 6000? or 5000?

depends on the oil you use. (synthetic or regular?)
depends on your driving conditions: (towing? really hot? dusty? etc)
depends city or highway use.
depends on mileage and condition of your car. high mileage cars tend to have a larger piston clearance than newer engines. that causes higher/faster carbon buildup in the oil, and greater oil consumption, etc.

-refer to the manual and your mechanic for the best advice.

re-read my post. there is no such thing as a regular oil change.
you have to take into account the service you put your vehicle into.

i do 90% of all the service on my own vehicles unless its free by means of the warranty.
i drive highway, and when i take my girl to nyc for the day i can end up spending a couple hours accumulated in 0-5mph traffic. during winter months its not a big deal, but in the summer months with ambient temps in 100+ degree mark i know that my oil is taking a bigger beating than id want, so i change it more frequently. the hotter oil gets, the faster its lubrication properties die out.
often times before the Guido fist pumping freaks from NY come to play at the jersey shore- the major highway turns into a parking lot so you can spend 2-3hours in virtual idle speeds traffic on the parkway... i wouldn't call that regular service for a vehicle. thats nyc cabbie service and you need to upgrade your oil change intervals and other services.

im not even kidding you- this is our GARDEN STATE PARKWAY during peek traffic.

Wow dude you ain't kiddin. I've been stuck in that traffic on the way back from Wildwood. Its in sane... to later find out it was rubbernecking due to a disable car on the side of the road.

When I was a kid growing up in Livingston in the late 1950's my Dad would take us to Asbury Park and sometimes Atlantic City. Yeah they were cool resorts with vibrant boardwalks back in the day. The GSP looked just as bad back then too.
