Unhappy 08 Rogue's horn chirps 3 times upon start, anybody know why?

Greetings from San Diego, CA!

My 2008 Rogue has been relatively problem free since day one, except for the recalls. It has just began to chirp the horn three times upon starting the engine. The engine starts fine after the chirps. No warning lights light up. All systems seem fine. I've read the "audible warnings" section in the owner's manual, but couldn't find an explanation. I can't find any explanations online. I'm hoping one of the Forum members may know what's triggering this audible "warning." Thanks!

Hello from the East coast! Say, did you ever sort out your horn issue? I had a '92 Saturn SL1 (worst car ever!) that developed a maddening horn issue. During the winter, if the temp dropped to around 35°F, the horn would go off. To add insult to injury, the stupid thing only did it during the wee hours like 2-3 am, but never during the day. Had a dealership replace the entire horn assembly, but to no avail. Would have to drive around with the horn disconnected during the winter.

My wife had a Chevy Aveo (which we finally got rid of) and the RKE was flakey. I finally solved the problem by pulling the MF fuse to the system. The DRL were flakey too and I was getting ready to pull the plug on the DRL module. At least I didn't put any $ into it. Electrical stuff is a real PIA.
