Arrow Nissan rogue bose + ipod

so i got this wire from ebay. I ended up opening up removing my A/C heater control panel and then removing all the contents of my arm rest console area.

Right next to the aux power port i drilled a hole that will fit the headphone jack. i fished the ebay wire through, and down to the floor by the passenger seat, leaving the USB & ipod wire in the compartment.
i then on the side of the whole center console ran the wire, and gently tucking it under the console side plastic. eventually far enough up to see it through the open area that the A/C bezel opened up.
I ran the EBAY wire upward, and then hooked up a 90degree male to female headphone jack(radio shack like $5) and plugged it into the bose head-unit.

I hooked up the USB plug into a USB charge receptacle and plugged that into the power source in the center console.

ebay ipod wire: $5.99(free shipping)
radio shack stereo headphone wire $10
radio shack 90degree jack $5
ebay 12v usb plug $2.99

My, you're a busy little beaver! Great fotos. BTW, is that the Bose multi-disc unit?

haha- one thing i picked up from my mom was her constant cleaning. except i dont clean, i improve stuff lol
(i also just resurfaced and refinished my staircase this week in between all of the "projects".)

-Im also adding yellow protective vinyl i got from RVINYL.com
i really want to get glossy black vinyl wrap for the roof to give it that glass roof appearance the maxima has, and to wrap a few things inside with that R3 Rvinyl wrap. we shall see how all the projects pan out.

Thanks for the info. So, does your stereo read your track info? I was reading an article where they used an expensive adapter and had to plug it into the back of the stereo, and also splice the wires to get power for charging the ipod. Your method seems much easier, and CHEAPER! I like!

no unfortunately, it wont read the titles this way. it just says AUX on the screen. but it will charge the ipod constantly & play music at the same time.

i couldnt see myself spending 300+ even if i install it myself, for an ipod interface module. (id rather pass up that option and buy track time lol)

Haha well thanks. Im going to plug my ipod directly into the AUXIN and see how I like it. If having to control it manually starts to piss me off then I might have to spend the money and do it the expensive way. We'll see...

.......or I could leave it and buy track time.

When we brought the Rogue home I looked long and hard at the general layout of the thing and the stereo and decided it was time to take the ipod out of the car. I chose instead to burn a half dozen mp3 CD's, loaded them in and put the thing into mp3 disc random play mode. It runs through all 300-ish tracks on one disc at random and then loads disc #2 and plays it at random and so on.

I like this solution, except the console power adapter is the one I use for my kid's dvd player when we go on trips.
