This has happened twice now. First to me and today to my 'best beloved'. We thought we had turned the ignition switch completely off. We took the keys, left and locked the car. Upon returning, we realized that the radio was on because we had not turned the ignition all the way to OFF. Anyone else experienced this. Seems like it's very easy to do. I know, we should pay closer attention to what we're doing. But, hope this post reminds owners to be aware of this "quirk"?

That sounds dangerous. Is the steering wheel locked and are you able to turn the ignition without the key in it?

Not sure what you mean but we never have used the key in the ignition switch. I thought that's what the 'Intelikey' sp?, was all about.

Hmm -- never had this issue on our smart key equipped Rogue.

The only time I've not turned the switch all the way off, the car has done a high pitched continuous beep when I opened the driver's door. It usually takes me about 20 seconds before I can figure out what is causing the noise.

I would think there would be some kind of warning noise. Will have the dealer check it out at the upcoming 3000 mile visit.
