| as someone who has installed countless HID kits, i can tell you this much: Quote:
what your seeing is the xenon gas and a small amount of mercury and other metal salts getting super excited by a huge amount of current from the igniter. that color change doesnt mean its brighter, its just bluer! when looking at the Kelvin scale, blue actually means LESS LIGHT. ![]() TO THE GUY IN CANADA: check to see if your DRL's are not the high-beams like lexus and other cars make them to be. i have never seen DRL's here on rogues in the USA, so i couldnt answer that. if they are infact the high-beams, you can still install HID lights into your low-beams and not be effected by any laws. JUST MAKE SURE YOU GET 4200/4300-5000K light bulbs to keep within the OEM look so not to throw off any law enforcement officers. |

| if the system for Rogue DRL's runs the headlights at full 12v's: then you can have HID's and just plug & play like normal. if the system for the rogue runs the headlights at half power, then you have to do this: you can always just disconnect the bulb you have now, stick the plug into a rubber glove and zip tie it tightly and secure it. install your HID bulb & kit normally, but wire the 2 ballasts to a fuse in the fuse-box that is turned on with the car. (i did this for my radar detector & GPS - and it instantly turns on with the car being turned on, and instantly turns off with the car being turned off.) |
