They say not....this is the first time that they
mated our 2.5l with the CVT and AWD....I really
don't have a handle on this very well right now.
But, I'll tell you one thing.....its gonna irritate
the crap out of me if they have to start replacing
our trannys in truckloads! I'll be very disappointed!
I may even get rid of it! I expected way better....
But, I'll wait it out and see before I get too crazy!

I'll keep checking and keep this post updated....

Here's a posting from the other site concerning
your question.....

"The QR25DE motor is on it's second generation and has been used in a variety of Nissan products including the Altima, Sentra, Rogue, X-Trail (Canada), and Frontier.
The CVT itself has been changed since it first appeared on the Murano. The current CVT design is shared with the Altima 2.5 and Sentra SE-R. The Chrysler/Mitsu twins also share use the same CVT: Dodge Caliber, Jeep Compass, Jeep Patriot, and Mitsubishi Outlander.

The transfer case, AWD transfer coupling, and other components are based on the unit on the Murano. They should be identical to the those used on the Rogue's twins: the Dualis (Japan) and Qashqai (UK).

So yes, components of the drivetrain have been around for awhile. However, the Rogue is the first to pair Nissan's QR25DE motor, the Jatco CVT, and the AWD system together."
