If the chrome is discolored with blues and purples, then the metal may seem to look colored. That may be what you're seeing. It's a reaction in the metal when it's heated over and over again. The Dealer and Rep are correct when they say it's normal.

Blue-Job Chrome Polish, No-Scratch, Removes blueing and rust But seriously, it's gonna take a lot of buffing to get that show room new look, if at all.
