You do the same with like any other headlight. From my understanding HID's draw less heat than the stock bulbs. After 5 or 6 years your headlights start having alittle fog look to it. They can be cleaned up with very light sand paper and water. You would also apply a special cream to the lense and buff it out. They will look new again. Or buy new headlights.
