We've had the same problem. Our 2010 Rogue is just 4 weeks old with 1000 miles. We will be bringing it back to the dealership with this problem for the second time.

It's happened each of the two times that we've driven on the highway. When we pulled into a toll plaza and then try to accelerate from a stop it's as if the transmission thinks your still in high gear and will barely move even if your pedal is to the floor. Also we've experienced where the engine will rev up to 3000 rpm's while the accelerator is depressed but the car won't move as if the emergency brake is on. Both times the check engine light has come on.

When we took it to the dealership two weeks ago they said there was something wrong with the computer system and said that they reset it and that it should be fixed. I guess they meant only until we drive it on the highway again.

I'm really dissapointed so far. I'm getting the feeling they know there is absolutely something wrong but don't know what to do about it.
