Nice tutorial! Thanks!
Just curious as to why you settled on the California Dream brand. There are a lot of companies selling aftermarket spoilers for the Rogue. In fact the overall design can even change from company to company. (i.e. look different) Was just wondering if you picked California Dream due to their reputation... or price... the design ?
I know the "Genuine Nissan" spoilers are made of fiberglass whereas many of the aftermarket spoilers like California Dream brands are made of plastic. The plastic models have the advantage of being lighter (and less expensive) than the factory spoilers. I'm not sure if there are any other advantages.
I guess my main concern is longevity (i.e. will plastic and fiberglass hold up equally as well over time). I've had both acrylic plastic and fiberglass hot tubs that set out in the sun for many years. The gelcoat on the fiberglass broke down after about 10 years and got ruff to the touch (exposing glass fibers in some places. The acrylic plastic also failed in about 10 years displaying thousands of little hairline spider cracks. (eventually having a few grow so big the water starting leaking out)
Hmmm... extruded aluminum?
