How to Install a Rear Spoiler on the Rogue

I installed a rear spoiler recently on my 2008 Rogue. It did require drilling 4 holes in the back hatch. Came with a template and good instructions.

Here was the steps.

- Removed Inside plastics around hatch window
- Put the template guides on the Spoiler
- Placed the spoiler on the car and tape them down
- Removed the spoiler leaving the templates behind
- Drill the 4 holes
- Treated the holes with anti rust stuff (included)
- Place the cushion washers over the holes
- Place the spoiler on the hatch and have someone hold it
- Inserted the screws on the inside grabbing the spoiler and screwing down
- Being careful not to screw down too tight

One Suggestion that made it easier is to start the screws in the plastic spoiler while it's off and on the ground. Screw the screws all the way in to the spoiler and back out again. This way you tap the plastic making threads and it makes it easier when it comes time to screw it down on the hatch.

I found it easy and the whole job took about 2 hours. Drilling the hatch was a little scary but was ok. The holes were accessible on the inside of the hatch and I was able to start each screw and got them all in first before screwing them down.

Remember do your research, have the right tools and DO - IT - YOURSELF whenever possible whatever it is !

Hope this helps Have Fun.
