My transmission was replaced at 22,000 in May (2008 AWD). At that time the technician at the dealership said that they had not had any other Rogues with the same problem. A very good friend just took her Rogue in yesterday (also an 08 AWD) and will be getting a new transmission next week. She was told by the tech that there are 3 more ahead of hers waiting on the trannys. We were both concerned that this might happen again if Nissan hasn't identified and corrected the problem so I googled looking for others with the same issue. Ended up here! I am hearing a strange noise again and the car seems to have difficulty getting the right gear. Slower speeds are the bigger issue.
